Slack alternatives
Slack is great. It turned IRC into the perfect mix between Email and ICQ for people wanting to GTD.
Slack is not exactly cheap, nor suited for all needs. Here are alternatives to try out. This is me sharing with you a personal list of tools I may need in the future.
Gitter
Apparently very good if you have a huge opensource community.
Ryver
Felt really similar to Slack (without the clever copywriting swag) but free, if such thing exists.
Loser
Nah, just kidding. I tried that, it sucked.
HipChat
by Atlassian. Heard it integrates nicely with Bitbucket and JIRA. And soon Trello, I guess.
Fleep
User-centric instead of team-centric. If I understand correctly, it could actually replace my email client? Gotta try it.
